I'm all set to have lunch with my kids and grand kids and then NFL football. I'm a rabid Cowboys fan, so I'm particularly interested in the New Orleans/Arizona game since the winner will be Dallas' next opponent on the way to the Superbowl. That's if we can get past the unbelievable Brett Favre who has always been one of my favorites throughout his NFL career. The guy still plays with all the excitement of years ago, but it will be tough getting past the Dallas "D". Kurt Warner of Arizona is another of those older quarterbacks I love watching. Since Dallas has already beaten the Saints, I'm kinda leaning toward rooting for them.
Just found out the newest "Bachelor" is from Lantana, Texas. We just moved from there, so I feel like I know him. He is really cute and such a gentleman. I already have Allie picked out for him. He's the kind of guy I never dated for long in my pre-married life. I always went after the bad boys - the ones that made me laugh so hard, I cried...then they made me cry. Why is it a lot of women shy away from the really nice guys? I married my bad boy and we've just celebrated our fortieth wedding anniversary. That's not to say all those years were rosy ones, but we grew up together.
What about you. Jump right in and talk about anything I've mentioned today ... or anything else. I just want to talk to somebody!!!

welcome to the blogsphere! I'm routing for Dallas all the way!
Hi Liz,
Since bad boys have always scared me , thank goodness I found my own "really nice guy"! We'll celebrate our 30th in September. But even though Steve is one of the "nice guys", there have been rough spots for us, too, along the way. Perhaps, as the Detroit Lions can attest, you don't always get what you want ... but it makes the journey interesting.
Gorgeous "blog site", by the way!

Hi Liz. Congrats on the new blog. Funny. Like you I always went for the bad boys. Married mine too. 36 years January 4th. It's a challenge, but it keeps things interesting, doesn't it?
Welcome to the blogoshpere, Liz!! I'm so excited about your sale. Wahoo!
But...I'm rooting for the Saints to end up in the Superbowl. Just gotta. I'm a fan.
Hi Liz, Happy two day old Blog Day. Well, I kinda know that your a Cowboy Fan, and I'll let you in on a secret. I was born in Lubbock, and my dad grew up in Big Spring and went to Knot High School. We were die hard Cowboy fans, rooting for the likes of Roger Staubach, Two Tall Jones, Charlie Waters, Tony Dorsett, and I loved Tom Landry. There seemed to be a super human element to the team back then as if they were invincible, and they, if I recall right, were called America's Team.
They're still great, no doubt about it. But along with missing my dad whole bunches, I miss the (probably in my mind) discipline that came with the former team's persona.
What about you. Were you a die hard Cowboy fan then as you are now???
I am so freakin' excited. I have blog comments!! Yeah!! Thanks for checking out the site, guys.
Thanks, Cyndi. Go Boys.
Kathleen - I'm glad one of the "nice" guys ended up with a "nice" girl.
Pam - Thanks for stopping by. They do keep things interesting. Congrats on your 36 years. Are you coming to DARA Saturday? I get my roses!!
Hey, Mel, if the Cowboys don't make it, the Saints will be my choice, too.
Donnell - I didn't know you were a Texas girl. Actually, Dan and I married his senior year at Vanderbilt where he played football. Two of the guys on his team were drafted by the Cowboys, and we became fans. (Dan was drafted by Uncle Sam and "played" in Viet Nam!!) Anyway, when we moved to Dallas, we were in heaven. We're both die hards.
I'm so excited y'all stopped by. I promise there will be more interesting things here. My agent has agreed to be interviewed and I'm gonna see if my editor will also consent.
Holy crap - my editor!!!!!
Wow Liz. I'd love to come to DARA Saturday, but Linda Steinberg is being Bat Mitzvahed and I promised her I'd be there. She's worked really hard for this. But CONGRATS!!!
Love the blog, Liz, and I love the Bachelor too. i really want him to end up with Allie as well.
Great blog, Liz. We're from Wisconsin, so were rooting for Minnesota. I didn't watch but was happy they won. I'm not watching The Bachelor. I am watching Project Runway, though. My guilty pleasure. lol
Hey, Edie, thanks for stopping by. For some reason I never got into Project Runway. I watch the Bachelor and the Biggest Loser.
Hope hubby's feeling better.
The Dallas folks thinks Minnesota ran up the score with that fourth down touchdown pass the last two minutes of a runaway game. We're all Vikings haters now!!!LOL
