Okay, I’m still not home from vacation yet, but I’ll be here late tonight so I can respond to comments then.

Cassy had a great idea and I decided to steal it from her.

Nice, Liz! Love the cute as hell part....and so true :-)

Let's see, I am one of 3 kids and an airforce brat. Born in Portugal, lived all over, now live in Central NY. Been with my husband since I was 18, been married for 21 years this summer, have 4 children (3 boys & 1 Diva), been writing since 1989...but seriously since 2000. Repped by the fabulous Christine, and Debut book coming out in November 2010. Took me 14 years to sell, but then C sold 6 books in 5 months for me, one off a partial and the other off a 10 pg synopsis.

I repeat...she's fabulous :-)

Fun post Liz!

If you really want to know about me, here goes. You're going to be sorry you asked.

I grew up on a 40 acre farm in Riverton Utah. I went to high school in the little town of Copperton. I loved it. It took about 20-25 minutes on the school bus to get there so a lot of my homework was done on the bus. We didn't have computers back then.

I got married on Friday the 13th. I had 3 kids. Unfortunately I also divorced my first husband after 13 years. I left him on a Friday the 13th, and our divorce was signed and finalized on Halloween.

Hmmm... Think it was doomed from the first?

Then I met my wonderful Ron whom I've been with for 22 years this September.

We've only been married since Oct. of 1999. Our wedding was held at a tailgating for the U of U.

We're avid Utah Football fans, we have season tickets and follow the team for special games and bowl games whenever possible.

Ron also has three children. We were the Brady bunch, because they all lived with us. He had 2 girls and a boy and I had 2 boys and a girl. They fought just like all siblings, but all in all they do get along. And still do. (I have many good stories)

We have Papa and Nana night at our house every week. All 6 of the grandkids (5 boys and 1 girl--soon to be 7 grandkids with our new baby girl arriving in July) come over to visit and have dinner. Tonight we're making pizza.

I wrote the worst drivel of a historical when I was married the first time, I'm not sure where that went. It's hard to drag 3 children to the library to research when they are very young.

I gave up and decided to write once the kids were grown.

I started seriously again in 2000 and have three novels and one novella published with a small press.

I'm now represented by the fabulous Christine and I can't wait for her to work her magic on my books.

The 3 older boys will be spending a lot of time here during the summer. For a project, to keep them away from the play station, I'm going to have them brainstorm and help write a Middle Grade story. Adventures with Nana We'll see how it goes!

Man, I went on forever, sorry! But now you know me.

I can't wait to meet the rest of you!

Since 'bunko' or more precisely 'bunco' means to swindle do I really want to know what this Bunko group you belong to does.

I can't believe it took us this long to chime in about ourselves! Well done, Liz.

Liz, you keep the title of "cute as hell," We'll need to get you a tee shirt- but it is true!

As for me, gosh, as of August I will have been married 29 years to a wonderful guy. I'm in Connecticut. Our two daughters are out in the world doing great things--one is with the Nuclear Energy Institute in Washington, DC and the other is in medical school at Stanford.

My writing started with my former academic career and would put most people to sleep in a nanosecond (secondary data analysis, small area variations analysis, research methodology). Are you yawning yet? I now write mystery and suspense novels. Much more fun.

As with Liz, Kari and Mary, I'm repped by the fantastic Christine.

Let us know about YOU!

Kari Lee,
Don't ask me why but I'll forgive you for being an Air Force brat. Go Army.
Liz and Cassy, I see and know you are both nurses. Same. What is it with nurses and mystery/suspense writing? Is it because we spent so many years saving lives or what? And according to the 'fabulous', 'fantastic' Christine bio she also studied nursing.
I'll hold my vote on the 'cute as hell'.

Lindsay: You are right. I did neglect to mention I am a nurse- well, used to be a nurse if there is such a beast as a "former" nurse. We are a group! My husband is convinced that only a nurse would put up with the **** that comes with the multi-tasking we all have to do. I'm not sure I agree, but then again, my list does get longer and longer.

Cassy,
Try burned out. That's what happened to me.

Well, I'm finished my 3000 words for the day (my BIAW goal) so I can come out to play now!

Kathy Bremner
I began writing in earnest five years and 4 ms ago. I've learned sooo much!
Book five should be finished this week (thanks to BIAW) and I think its the ONE!
Belong to RWA, GreaterVancouver chapter and Kiss of Death chapter.
I'm unagented but hopeful an agent will be interested in this new project.
I trained racehorses for years, so I've done lots of nursing too!
Met the love of my life when I was in my twenties, we spent 2 years together, then 10 apart and now we've been back together for 18 years now.
1 dog for him, 2 cats for me (one perches over my shoulder and helps me write). 2 sisters and a brother I'd die for and I love my nieces and nephews.
Chocolate is my sin of choice and I love the Pacific Ocean.
And I've never been called cute in my life. I was always the tall gangly girl in the back row intimidating the boys!

Okay, I'm back. Thanks to all of you who commented. Since we didn't get many people to play with us, we'll have to do this again sometime.

I'll still be cute as hell!!
