Mary's Rants - Thanksgiving

No I'm not ranting about Thanksgiving, it really is the holiday in the U.S. I know there are those of us who have had a very difficult 2010. And I for one tend to forget to stop and evaluate everything that has actually gone right.

Today, I know those in the U.S. are most likely busy with family and friends for the holiday. Some of us have to work, but no matter the circumstances even if you're not in the US or not celebrating, I'm asking everyone to stop for five minutes and recall all the things you're thankful for. Try to think of at least ten things. I bet you can even come up with more. Here's my list of things in 2010 I'm thankful for:
  1. The health of my family and friends.
  2. The birth of my little granddaughter.
  3. All of my beautiful kids and their children who bring us such joy.
  4. Friends and family who love me for who I am.
  5. My M&M buddies, that are so supportive.
  6. The support of my local RWA chapter.
  7. I have a warm home.
  8. I have enough money to give to others this holiday season (not much, but some)
  9. All the volunteers who helped my friend at the Huntsman Cancer Clinic
  10. For the surprise visit from our son and his girlfriend for Thanksgiving
Everyone have a wonderful day and safe day.

I am thankful for my husband, my children, our families and our friends.

I am thankful for Christine Witthohn and Rebecca Frazer and Faith Black for making my dreams come true.

I am thankful for my CP's and my M&M's for just simply being awesome :-)

And I am thankful to be home!!!

Have a great turkey day, everyone, and save some room for dessert :-)

Mary: You've brought tears to my eyes. I live with being so thankful. But, still there are days in which I do need to sit and count the blessings. I'm sure that's true with us all. My list:
- Family, I can't say enough about that
- Friends, I have wonderful and supportive folks who want to be there for me more than I let them. Thank you, guys.
- Groups like this one. M&M is the best. Christine's peeps AND Christine couldn't be a better cheering squad and butt swatting group in any way.
- All the amenities we are lucky to have: heat, running water, food, a telephone to call those who are important, and transportation.
- Talent- not mine but the energy I receive from those around me who possess it. I love to learn from the artists who share, the writers who let me read, the inventors who are excited about their creation that still needs just a little adjustment.

Thank you, all. I am blessed.

Chiming in late to say I am thankful for everything you and Cassy already said, and with the exception of Rebecca, everything Kari said.

I am thankful that God has surrounded me with people who love me, warts and all, and have my back 24/7.

Hope yesterday was a good one for you guys and all our readers. It's 2:30 am in Texas, and I'm getting ready to go out for Black Friday shopping.

You gotta love it!!
