Kari's Kave: Spring Break

April showers bring May flowers, and warm temps, and new life!

But first we must get through spring break.

Spring break. A break from work, a break from school, a break from reality....only, with four kids home, it's no break, people!

I spend my spring break every year running the roads to lacrosse practices, lacrosse games, working the concession stand, etc. When I'm not doing that, I am running the kids places or having a house full of friends. Let's face it, one friend a piece is 8 kids in my house!

AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where's the Calgon??? I seriously need an office outside the house. When Mom is home, it MUST mean she's not working, right? So let's interrupt her a gazillion times, right? She won't mind, right?

WRONG!!!

Okay, I feel better :-) Venting over. I actually do enjoy them being home, I just live in denial thinking I'm going to get anything done. Since I can't write, I've been doing a lot of thinking. Thinking while I spring clean, thinking while I run the roads, just thinking...

I love it when new ideas come to me. Like I NEED any more ideas, haha. I don't have enough hours in the day to write the things I already have to write as it is :-) Still...spring! Gotta love it. New season, new life, new ideas!

What does spring do for you? Do you get inspired? Do you want to clean and plant flowers and write outside for a change? Do you feel that sense of rebirth, of starting over, of all the new possibilities that await you?

Inquiring minds want to know...

What does spring mean to you?

Kari, I know what you mean. I love my kids but I can't wait for them to go back to school. I'm so behind on writing but I've been running around for baseball and birthday parties and cookouts.

Fall is my favorite season, but Spring is my second favorite. I love all the flowers blooming, the trees getting their leaves. There's a feeling of hope, something refreshing, like everything can start over and be better than ever. It makes me feel excited about everything.

Making it to spring means I survived the winter. I love this time of year because, yes the flowers start to pop even though I've got a black thumb and kill anything I plant. The warm weather means I can put the winter clothes away and save on the heating bill.
The best part is during now I get a renewed sense of writing and get more words down than during the past few months.
Yes, spring is my favorite time of year

I love spring because it means warm weather--not that it ever gets really cold for long in Texas, but still--swimming season is right around the corner and I can start water jogging again. Those nasty 10 pounds I lost last summer found me again.

Spring is also a time for me to start planning all my summer trips, and I've got a lot of them this year. Plus, we're putting out house on the market next week. Ugg!

So, when do I have time to write, you ask? Well now, therein lies the problem!!
