And no, I'm not talking about Abs! Although yesterday was the start of my 12 week walking program. I have too much going on this year and I need to get more active! (Spring Break vacation at the end of March with the family, Family Wedding end of April, Malice Domestic conference in May, My son's graduation in June, not to mention my darling hubby wants to run a 5K this spring! Then there's our 25th wedding anniversary in October, which I've been told there is BIG surprised planned) Yeah.....I asked for liposuction and he said all I need is the machinery in the basement and a good pair of running shoes! Bwah!! I turn 47 in a couple of weeks....so I guess that mean's I'm not getting it.
I really need to lay off the "treats" and stress eating/drinking. THAT is my downfall every time. But, working out every morning does have its benefits and I do feel so much better. I just wish my metabolism would appreciate it. Eventually, right???
But no, the "crunching" I'm talking about is finishing the damn book!!! OMG, now I know how Liz feels. I can honestly say I work better in panic mode. I cranked off 3 pages tonight before my phone beeped with a reminder about writing my blog post. Yup, I blew off SU basketball to write. And I would have kept writing except I really did need to do my blog post! And once I'm done here I will most likely call it a night. But I'm in a great spot to pick up tomorrow and I REALLY need to turn up the page count.
Cupid Wore Camo is the next book coming out in my Guardians of Freedom series. Santa Wore Combat Boots is book 1. I can't wait for you all to see the cover! Think Bachelor sexy, only with camo pants. YUM!!! But it's GOT to get FINISHED peeps!!! This is what happens when I come up with a really great series idea and spend too much time planning it all out instead of writing the darn book. But it will be well worth it, and like I said in last weeks post - this has been a lesson in "timing" for me. I WILL plan accordingly next time.
Panic mode? Oh yeah...there is much panic on the home front. Too bad I can't write while I'm walking/jogging on the treadmill. I don't think Dragon Dictation would understand all the heavy breathing! LOL.

Best of luck finishing. I'm in the same position, polishing the manuscript to shine like a jewel. Life? Who's go time for that?
I'm so excited for you, Barbie. Get that manuscript finished. It sounds so good. And I can't wait to find out what hubby has planned for your anniversary. Next year Dan and I are celebrating our 45th and we're taking all the kids and grandkids on a cruise. I'll have to sell about 8 more books to pay for it. Oh wait--$.50 a book. Crap!!
